How can i get rid of thoughts that attack when i'm vulenrable?!


Question: i'm struggling a bit...whenever i'm tired, or miserable, or both...images and thoughts and imaginings that i really really really could do without chosoe that moment to catch up with me. what can i do to get rid of these? how can i sort out my mind so i can sleep?

Try to write down those thoughts as they come. Keep them in a safe place. Read them when your in a better mood. Find out if there is any truth to those thoughts you get.

Is there anything that you may have neglected, or, have done things that you should not have done.

Also, try not to eat anything at least an hour and half before going to bed.

Think of the good times and the people that are lost to you. Positive mental though.

Go & see your Doctor. He/she may prescribe anti-depressants or something else to help. Counceling may also be suggested. Talking to a counceller can help get things off your chest. This does help lots of people. But not everyone. Good luck.

I have this same problem. My mum died when i was 6 so I know that the ones I hold most dear could die soon too because life is not fair and just. I go through fazes about who i fear will die. Most of the time it's my partner but since having a baby I do worry about her too now. I try to keep my mind occupied. I would reccommend reading a really good book about somthing you are really interested in before bed because that will get your mind off the depressing thoughts. If you find another cure please let me know/

We all have a kind of internal monologue that can be either positive, negative or a mixture of the two. These thoughts come from the subconscious and you can mentally challenge them and replace them with positive images and thoughts. We all have days when we are low and more sensitive to the negative and on those days it is harder to challenge than it is to accept, but better for your self esteem to change the negative thoughts to positive.

I appreciate your feeling but you need to change how you think about life and death. there is many ways to overcome your feelings. you can be stronger than them. . you can ou can always combat your fears and even use them to advance in your life. there many power in human and spirit utilize them. you can be ten time strong as you are now. email me if you need any further assistance.

i'm short on time: when you feel depressed the moments don't just "happen to pop in", your consciousness calls them. it's asociating the events in your mind with imagination or experience. they won't go away, but one thing is to try to accept the problem. depression medication is a *****, even when you stop taking it there will be side effects. the problem is you. you keep calling the ghosts from the past into your present and you are shaping the future to it's darkest figure. but you need not concern yourself with the future. you are worried about the people you might lose, but don't you think they could be worried about you? a day will come and a day will go and life will go on weather you are here to witness it or not. as you think of others you neglect yourself, and as others think of you the neglect themselves. i'm not saying you should think of yourself, i'm just saying *don't worry*. you'll note that if you protect your child from all harm you do them more damage then they would suffer if they got hurt.
