Is there enough support and help?!

Question: For people suffering with Mental health issues?

Answers: For people suffering with Mental health issues?

Yes I believe there is..........the problem lies with most GP's and getting them referred to the best people to deal with their problem asap!!

No!!

There is plenty of help for people .

Not usually,sadly.

definitely NOT

Given as the estimate is that a quarter of us will suffer in our life time with some sort of mental ill health, it's a broad remit as to who benefits from what. Help and support can take many forms and don't necessarily mean statutory intervention or therapy. I think yes there is enough support broadly speaking, if it is recognised where there is need and the resources are appropriately targeted. But not everyone wants or can access appropriate help at the time. Not sure where I'm going with this but coming from a mental health background I'd like to believe the support id out there for people

I think the support is there for some people depending on what level of mental health problem you have.
Also you need to push to receive the support.
Not an openly spoken about problem in society so made to feel that "you just need to get on with it".

no...

No way, I suffer with depression and one time i went to my doctor worried i was going to do something unpreditable, like leave my young kids in the house alone, drive off to don't know where etc and i got put on a 4 month waiting list for talk therapy (but he did give me pills, that take ages to get in your system & they always start you off on a low dose thats never enough)! I needed help straight away while i was still in control not in 4 months time. As it turned out it was a 'blip' (A temporary low) and i had a good understanding friend 2 doors away! (but the Doctor didn't know that & i have a history of a suicide attempt) what do you have to do, to get real help!
P.S i'm fine at the momant though!!!!

For most issues, yes. Depression, biopolar (holy moses, the bipolar community is EVERYWHERE, as evidenced by YA!) and anxiety is everywhere. ADHD, though not an illness, ha plenty of support too IF you're a kid or a parent of a kid that has it.

People need to be more resourceful...if they really dig on the internet and pick their doctors' brains, there's a ton of support and help to be had in most areas.

nope, but life`s sh*t, then we die, unless you can afford to go private

no there isnt much help attal ive suffered for 7 years and now really struggling dont no where to turn now!!

no i dont think so
