*insomnia* what do you do with your time?!


Question: Just asking because I'm waiting for an ambien shipment drifting in "fed ex land". I know I should have done it sooner.
But if you can't sleep, what are you up tp?
I'm checking into to some year old James Blunt...
Not alert enough to read, but music seems ok...

I read, listen to music, go on the internet. Eventually I just give it all up, and decide to start the day. Ah, insomnia, what would I do without your splendid presence?

I read or crochet answer questions on here and wish I was waiting on an ambien shipment.

ambien is dangerous.

if i where an insomniac (im not) i would prolly try to find a fellow insomniac and chat on the phone - i read a book about a girl with insomnia and she used to spy on her neighbors and read - i do believe her neighbor was a insomniac to

i have been an insomniac all my life and have found many things to avoid..like caffiene,cig and alchol also too much pyysical activity b4 bedtime..keeping bed just for sleeping can help...also warm milk canm help but after 31 years of not being able to sleep without medication i have found that if i cant sleep fighting it is not the answer...for me i will get up and do things so i dont have to do them the next day when i am even more tired--i dont drink coffe or tea that has caffiene in it and i also dont have big meals b4 tring to get to sleep!!!
In the enbd things that work 4 you might not be the same for others....i do rely on sleep medication if i did not i would be a mess...but i also know the things for my self to avoid..its all trial and error for the individual--good luck also its easy for others to say dont use medication when they havent been there you need to do what suits you and there is only so much sleep a person can go without!! good luck i hope i helped

i have the same problem i dont get to sleep till about 2-3 in the morning. i find reading a book helps or just lying there untill you go to sleep if it takes hours let it. dont eat because it causes excess stomach acid produced and keeps u awake for longer! lol try going for a run about 2 hours before bed and then having a hot shower i did that once and i slept like a baby.;...... but god i hurt the next day (not fat btw lol)

I have never been able to sleep at night. Then I discovered that by working night shift, I have no problem sleeping when I get home. Even when I am off work, I stay up at night and sleep in the morning.
