I believe Geodon (ziprasidone) is a treatment for Schizophrenia and people who are manic/bi-polar. I was diagnosed the latter.
I took Geodon for a about 6-9 months. the blue and white ones. It definatly helped... took a few days for full affect. It was pretty bad when i missed doses tho. It is like experiancing extreme insomnia when a dose is missed (for me atleast).
When you start feeling well enough talk to your doctor about 'weaning' you off, dont just stop taking it.
If you drink alcohol, you might want to skip a dose thats what i did, and just take your next dose, as scheduled or a little early. Its best not to drink at all when on this medication.
Of course im not a doctor, this was just my experiance with it.

I took it for bipolar disorder. It did not help me and it was hard to get on a schedule to take because you must take it with food for it to be 100% effective. I switched to Seroquel and that helped more. But, everyone is different. Good luck.
