I would say a jailor , followed by IT professional, foll by psychiatrists jobs are sressful

IT related work is exhausting. You are always responding to computer issues. You get calls in the middle of the night with reports that the servers are down. The only phone calls or emails you get are people complaining about their computer, the network, their security access, etc. Being an IT rep is a thank-less job.

I think that any job you are doing that you don't like is probably the most stressful. I work in what is considered extremely high pressure, I am an intensive care unit nurse, I deal with life and death issues every day. But, I love what I do, and would not do anything else, it isn't high pressure for me, yet I have seen others break down and leave the profession when it was something they didn't really want to be doing. The key is to train for and obtain a job doing something that you love.

It all depends on you, how much you like your job, how skilled and comfortable you are in your knowledge. For some, having the freedom to act is very important. For others, not having too much responsibility is.

I think jobs where you deal with distressed, panicky people are really taxing and pressure-filled. Lucky me, I've had several - emergency dispatcher, nutritional counselor (aka counseling people who hate themselves and self-medicate with food.) Now I'm a paralegal for an attorney that handles divorces and child custody cases. *sigh*

I think being an executioner would be pretty bad, too. That's one job I will not ever take!
