If you're a teenager and just recently went through puberty, it could just be hormones; however, if that description does not fit you at all, it could be bipolar disorder. People who have bipolar disorder have major mood swings/ups and downs. They tend to cycle through both depression and mania. When they are depressed they feel tired, lonely, very sad, irritable, hopeless and helpless. When they are manic they feel euphoric, unstoppable, thoughts are racing, everything moves quickly, they love everyone, they love life, and then they crash and the cycle starts all over again. Often times they have to be medicated to control the symptoms. The good news though is that these patients are very easy to treat with mood stabilizers and sometimes antidepressants as well.

That happens to me too!

You probably haven't 'got' anything, your looking for an excuse for the way you are. You probably need a better diet and bit of exercise and maybe treat people around you with a bit more respect.

Hey that really sound like me who as posted that . No really I am being serious try email me and I will talk to you about it

If you have major mood swings, you may be bi polar.
When you talk about zoning out and having people repeat things, it sounds like you have ADD.
You need to consult a professional and consider getting on some medication to help you.

You don't have bipolar-ism^^^ don't listen to him! If you had that you would be on slumps like that for at LEAST 6 months to a year at a time. Then you would go through mania, which is the ups of bipolar-ism. You would feel like you could take on the world, and that would go on for an equal amount of time. It sounds to me like you might have ADHD, all the thing you described there are symptoms. That are two types of ADHD. Look into it or ask your doctor to be tested. Do you smoke weed? That can cause major build up of THC levels in the brain and cause you to have very similar characteristics of ADHD. If you are a big weed smoker, lay off it for about 6 months and see if it gets any better. Best of luck to you.

without any background information, it's difficult to tell. Are you able to see a therapist, and a good general practitioner to do a complete workup on you?

It can be a hormonal imbalance, poor nutrition, or due to trauma and/or extremely stressful situation. It can be an indicator of a heart problem, blocked arteries, or stroke. It can also be a mental illness.

Do you eat properly and take supplements?

Please see your regular doctor and tell what you said here so you can get a good physical.

I'm bi-polar but I'm not sure if you are, based on your description. The best thing is consult an expert (a pyschiatrist). If you are indeed diagnosed to have a bi-polar disorder, you will be prescribed with mood stabilizers and probably anti-depressants. Don't you worry. I have been confined 15 times since 1990 and I still live a relatively happy life and I'm completely functional between episodes...Two other suggestions: Doctors keep reminding me - everything in moderation (anything in excess is BAD). Also, engage in things that you actually enjoy. It's not being selfish, it's all about loving yourself enough so you can love others, too.

sounds like you should see a gp/practice nurse... could be any number of things...contraceptive, thyroid, blood sugars etc

Too much on your mind.
