I have a panic disorder and they used to be really imobilizing, I didnt get help for it for a long time. when I did, I got some techiques from a therapist who suggested that when i have a panic attack I needed to sit down some where i felt relaxed, close your eyes and breathe in thru your nose and out thru your mouth, try to visualize your self somewhere else not there having those attacks, if they are really bad your gonna hafta see a doctor, get some anti-depressents with maybe some tranqilizers like Xanax, if not they could get worse, I couldnt leave my home for a year cuz I developed agoraphobia from the attacks

Get some sleep.

Sit down
Drink some water
Relax
You might want to call your doctor to make sure your panic attacks are any more serious.

no idea but that happens to me when i drive! =(

Hyperventilate in a paper bag to slow your breathing.

Jut lay down and relax. Try to defuse the attack, if you know how to.

go to the doctors and get medicine

get a paper bag and breathe into it, rebreathing your exhales breath, this will help you calm down

turn off your computer,
get on the floor,
close your eyes
breath slowly.

if u have a bag breathe into... a paper bag...take deep breaths really long ones...i suffer from them 2, calm yourself down think positive ok.

I have to keep moving and release energy. if you lay down and you still feel panicky, get up and do something, even if you don't feel like it, rearrange a cupboard, clean your purse out, take a walk. i know how it is. good luck

I get these too. The only thing I can tell you is to BREATHE SLOWLY..... You need to see your doctor and see what he can prescribe you.

Go outside and run until you feel tired. As you run, look around at far off distances, that will help get your attention off of yourself. After you run, go around and touch things. Good luck.

Okay I have been through this too this is what helped me.
1. Don't shower. This is you alone in a small space and you freak out.
2. Music. Happy music that makes you think of good memories.
3. Keep the TV in the background if you're not listening to music.
4. Eat something yummy, treat yourself.
5. Call a friend you really trust, and talk about anything at all, even something stupid.
6. Be with your pet and/or a person. Preferably a pet that you can hold in your lap.

I know they suck, i get them too. I usually call someone and have them talk about stupid stuff so it calms me down. You need to go to the doctor and go to counseling. Trust me when you you feel one coming on just relax and think about something stupid or call someone, it does help.

If there's no one about to keep you company, just try to keep focused on this Yahoo Q+A's. I know how you feel, so I do know the more you try not to think of it the worse it seems.

Usually panic attacks are more in your head than physical when they occur for no apparent reason. Drink some water, and take some deep breaths. Just tell your self that everything is okay and that there is no reason you should feel this way. Remember, this is mental. Call a friend if that doesn't help and a doctor after that. I know how you feel but I knew why I was feeling that way- so find the source if you don't already know and if there isn't one, seek help!

How do you type on a computer.

tell yourself to stop it stop it stop it right now. Also call a pscyatrist to prescribe some Xanax for yourselg.

Doctor my help wih some medication suitable.for it. Besides counseling and medication, recovery's included giving up my beloved mocha lattes and other forms of caffeine that can stimulate anxiety symptoms. I've turned to a more natural diet with less refined sugar and processed foods. Exercise to relieve stress is now part of my daily routine, as well as time spent on deep breathing and relaxation, combined with prayer and meditation on the Bible. Together, they create a powerful tool in dealing with stress.

hat but

Sit down. Take off your shoes and socks. Put your feet on the ground. Try hard to focus on the sensation of your feet on the floor. Maybe use your hands and rub your feet, focusing on the sensations you experience. Perhaps put your feet in a small tub of hot water and massage them. Try as well to experience sensation in your legs. Many anxiety attacks can be diffused or mitigated by working to get out of your head and into your body. Doing whatever you can to sense your body, particularly your feet, which ground you, may help in this situation.
I hope that you have someone like a therapist or counselor who is helping you on a regular basis with these experiences. This is too much for someone to try to deal with all alone. That person who helps you could also give you techniques to use to help when the attacks arise.

in the martial arts we meditate and it's quite simple to do. First sit on a pillow it's also easier put on some soft music that u like light a candle or two, turn off the lights seclude your self the best u can away fromm things and sounds that may distract u. then sit on your pillow, with one the the candles positioned across from u at about the height of your line of sight focus on it and start by clearing your thoughts and concentrate on slowing your breathing and think of things that make u happy imagine the sounds of waves coming ashore or the sound of the river at night while camp as a child anything that pleases u,but keep your focus and your breathing slower and slower. u will find harmony

relax don't think about it anymore. take deep breaths and just relax if in a few minutes they don't dissapear call your doctor or go to the hospital. If you keep having them it might be because you keep thinking about it in the back of your head....if it keeps on occuring you might have an anxiety disorder or something like that.
