ADHD might came back?!

Question: hey everybody
when i was diagnosed with adhd i was 6 years old and i took Ritalin for a while and it helped but i didn't like it because i thought hey thats not me and there is something in my body that is changing me and i dont like that.

well i stopped taking them after 2 month and adhd slowly went away to the point where i could study

now im in college and i cant study for ****
i sit down and after 5 min im somewhere else

another thing is that i am very lazy and i do everything last minute

my question is if i adhd did come back or am i just really lazy and who do i talk to if it realy is adhd?

thanks a lot

its very possible that you just suppressed it while you were high school. Its very common for things such as these to hide themselves when one forces a will upon it, Mind over mind so to speak. I have ADHD, among other things, and have dealt with these problems, just like you are. I am actually also in college, and have found out, over the past two years that i've been going, that the stress of getting closer to the "real world" is getting to me and stress is a major opponent of the mind over mind ability. I'd recommend either consulting with a counselor or another psychiatrist. There are a great many new drugs that dont leave you with the feeling that ritalin did.

eventhough you didn't like to take something (ritalin) maybe you had or have some kind of chemical thing that you need to help control. unfortunately medications are misused, but your problem very well could have been biological and it needs to be addressed. talk to your parents or doctor, good luck!!!
