Paranoia problems is eating me inside out. help.?!

Question: im deathly afraid of racism. i hate the fact that because of the colour of my skin, i am looked down upon.
it is unfair and really makes me dissapointed in society today.
also, it drives me mad. where ever i go, im always paranoid that people are being racist towards me. even if they are not. it really does make me wonder, if my problem with other people being racist is just in own head? i cant stop thinking about it

Hello. I am a producer on a new show for a major cable network that emphasized Entertainment, the Arts and Education. We are doing a show in conjuncture with a well-established, world-famous OCD Center here in Los Angeles.

We are looking for people for our show with OCD, anxiety, hoarding or extreme fears. We specifically need people who are at the end of their rope, and need help soon or their lives will be negatively affected.

By offering these people free therapy (for 12 weeks and then follow up treatment) we hope to help them, and hopefully help others that will be watching our show.

If you could pass this information off to people who would like the help but can't afford it or if you can steer me in the right direction, refer anyone or allow us to post on your site, it would be greatly appreciated. Please have them contact us at therapycasting@tijuanaent.com or call us at 310-341-2500

I've been very paranoid myself lately so I suggest relaxing and thinking about all the good things life has to provide. Don't think about possibilities or like you said, it'll consume you.

You can stop your paranoia by dealing it.

Honestly you should just try not to worry about it. I am white and my boyfriend is black. When we first got together we always noticed people looking at us funny even though biracial relationships happen more and more these days. All I ever really thought is that its their problem, but he didn't like it. I think you should definitely take my mentality...if they don't like you because of the color of your skin its their problem and they're not even worth worrying about. You're probably a great person. And if they're racist its a problem that they have to deal with. Also some of it probably is just in your head so just don't worry about it. When you're out and about try to have a good time and focus on the good things in life.

projection;
Psychology. a. the tendency to ascribe to another person feelings, thoughts, or attitudes present in oneself, or to regard external reality as embodying such feelings, thoughts, etc., in some way.
b. Psychoanalysis. such an ascription relieving the ego of a sense of guilt or other intolerable feeling.

Well yes it sounds you are really paranoid. You have to remember that there are many successful people who are minorities. Many minorities have fought to have the freedom we have today. Try to remember to be strong for them and in my opinion a lot of people focus too much on racism. I'm a mutt and I see things in so many ways. You have to know that yes although it is there that doesn't mean that you should allow it to run your life. You need to first learn how to see how beautiful your skin is and know that there are so many beautiful models and actors who are so adored just because they have that gorgeous bronze color. Love yourself. Maybe learn some self confidence and that should get the ball rolling. We all suffer because we don't realize how insecure we really are and it spirals out of control. I hope I helped. Good luck and feel free to write.

U may need to go to the doctor and ask them bc u might have a mental illness that causes u to be constantly paranoid about certain things. Or you may just need a bit of therapy. Talking it out to ppl would help too or just keep a journal and jot it down how u feel about it everyday so u dont keep it bottled up inside and keep letting it build bc its just gonna add to the paranoia.
