One is a doctor and the other is just a therapist. The doctor can give you a Rx for medication and the other one can't. There are a lot of really good anti-depression meds out there now that may be of great help to you, which in turn will help your kids.

You may want to check out this link. I think you will find a lot of great information from medical professionals on it.

Good luck my friend

I think you should just to let everything out. You are not crazy if you go to one. Many doctors, lawyers, ect. go to therapists. They have special therapists just for bankrupty. I know many people who go. I hope you are feeling better soon. Everything will work out just fine.

A psychiatrist can help you in the short term by prescribing medication that will reduce the stress. (You could even ask your regular doctor for some anti-anxiety medicine.) A psychologist will help you understand why you react to stress so badly and help you find new ways to cope. It will take more time. Perhaps your best bet is to discuss the problem with your regular doctor (who might prescribe something or send you to a psychiatrist) and also make an appointment with a psychologist or licensed therapist, who will help you work through your problems.

A psychiatrist is able to prescribe medication should you need it. Most people look for a therapist. You can ask if they are qualified to prescribe meds. Sounds like you could use one of the newer anti-anxiety meds for a while, but that will be your choice. Best of luck!

A psychologist will actually listen to your problems and help you identify stress inducers in your life and help you learn new ways to cope with these. I have been seeing a therapist off and on for 12 years. You never stop learning about yourself. Give it a shot - but find someone who deals with financial stress issues and being a parent during stressful times.

Doctors cast a fortune so since your heading for bankruptcy I wouldn't advise it. Try yoga or pilates, even a video u can do at home. Have a bath with some lavender in it before bed, drink chamomile tea, St Johns Wort is good for depression, burn lavender in a burner all over your house, its really calming so everyone can be calm. If all that fails ask your own doctor to give u a tranquilizer for a few weeks, like valium or xanex just until things calm down a bit for u and u dont have as much going on

ok this really depends on you. i had to see both my phycologist perscribed meds listend to my problems and told me to try this medicine.

my therepist listened to me helped me with my problems didnt give me meds and helped me work through them without meds.

but i didnt get better that was my problem thats wen i went to go see a phycoloist.

i hope this helps.
