you can help her build it up and do u know if any boys like her if u do then hook her up with him and tell her how much u care about and a lot more

This is something she has to see for herself. You are a good friend and keep up the positive comments.

At sad as it may seem, you cannot help her. She is totally responsible for herself and self-esteem is a journey that can take some of us longer.

Leave little notes like what you just said in her locker, or if you don't go to school with her then write her a letter because then it's something she can keep forever and can look back at; unlike a phone call or text message.

That can't be good if she has low self esteem. I used to like a girl that kind of had low self esteem. Every time she would try to say something bad about herself. I would tell her that it wasn't true. I have no idea whether this worked or not, but it was the best I could do for her. You could pray for her and ask God to help her. If she says she can't do something or anything, tell her she is wrong and then go see if you can hang out with her or do something with her that boots her self esteem. It may not work a couple of times, but you should keep at it. It will work.

the reason she has low self esteem is because of people like you. we would have never known until you told us this information so now we have that preception of your friend. stop telling people these negative things and the problem will go away.-blurey

Can you keep an informal journal of the good things she's done and people who have benefitted from her actions?

In the future, when she is feeling low, you can show her the journal where there are concrete things, in black and white, showing how much she is valued.

For some reason, seeing it written down is more real than if you just told her.
