Try going to your college or university's counseling center. A lot of students are able to cope with the stresses of school and deal with different types of depression by seeking out these services. They will be helpful and have professional help there. If you are unsure of where to start try talking to your RA or even someone you can trust at school.

Hey. It's the first week. You need to get back into a rhythm of going to uni. I am totally exhausted at the moment from uni, and I think it is just because a) concerntrating for long amounts of time drains me and b) my body clock has just been shuffed to a new timeslot and is getting used to it. You will get used to the tiredness.

As for your fear of social interaction all you can do is plunge in and go for it. Does it really matter if not everyone likes you, and isn't your friend? Is it really going to effect your life that badly? Uni is only a small part of life, remember you still have all your other friend out of uni and also your family who will love you no matter what. Would you want to be someone else and lose your identity just so everone likes you? You need to value yourself more as you are rather then define yourself by how others value you.

So my advice is just plunge in and do it, don't make exscuses for your behaviour, don't be annoyed if people don't like you (you can't make everyone like you anyway), don't hold back from soemthing because of fear. Afterwards at least you can say "i did that, I had that experience" even if it didn;t end the way you wanted it to.
