What has helped you cheer up while you're depressed?!


Question: PLEASE don't tell me Jesus. I'm up and down all the time. One minute happy and the next sad.. I avoid friends phone calls. My boyfriend is getting frustrated with my mood changes.

What worked for me was: when I was in a good mood, I made a list of music that I liked to listen to when I was feeling up. Then later, when I was depressed, I would listen to the music on the list and usually it did make me feel better after awhile.

People have to understand that you change mood and it's probably PMS or something. Also remember, there's nothing to be depressed over. You should motavate yourself to get over stuff. You only live once. And I'm sure you're young, go out and party! Remember regrets will turn into lessons.

If its not hormonal, then it can be Bi-Polar disorder, but the only way to know for sure is to talk to a professional. But sometimes its the littlest things that cheer me up from being depressed, like finishing a painting that ive been working on, or reading a good book, or even just working out. it all depends on what you make of what life throws at you.

Talk to your family doctor about this, research depression online and take some surveys. Your doctor will probably ask you to complete a survey too. You might need medication for this. Also, try talking to someone about this. Try setting little goals and accomplish them, they will make you feel better in the end.
