Do you take medication for depression/anxiety?!

Question: If so, what kind and how well does it help you?

Admittedly I have extreme depression that goes with my manic depression, but I have been taking Lithium carbonate for as long as I can remember and it really helps me.

If your depression is severe enough for your doctor to think you may need medication like this, read up on it and make sure you know what you're letting yourself in for. All medications react with different people differently so not one person here on yahoo answers can give you a complete answer.

I don't personally but I know people who do and they usually tell me that it works but side effects or addiction sometimes revolves.

I have taken Librium for anxiety for many years, my psychiatrist put me on Xanax, I thought I would never get off them, is a very hard tough withdrawal, there is my reason for starting on the Librium, not addicting like xanax and works just fine as long as I take them daily.

i was taking Paxil and I wish i was on it again. it helped me, but I think I depended on it too much.

Effexor 75 mg is great and very few side effects. It really helps control your emotons - for me it was menopausal symptons and has helped tremendously...

i take paxil and it helps me. ive been on it for 5 years now.

I wish
I'm always depressed
Depression is something that can lead to suicide so you might want to take them but yet they still have many symptoms you have to watch
