Question: I meant wake sorry. But my friend's friend recently commit suicide. I personally didnt know him but my friend was pretty close to him. The thing is I am feeling very sick today (strep throat) and I have a doctor's appt. Should I skip and go to the wake or go to the appt?

Skip the wake and go to the appointment. What you have might be contagious and a wake is in a confined environment with lots of people. Be sure to let your friend know why you are not going.

Im sure he was suffering a lot more than your sore throat.
but only if your not contagious :)
Go to the doctor's appt. Your friend will need your support in the days, weeks, even months to come.
Don't go when your sick. Everybody has enough problems without catching your illness, plus if you don't take care of strep it can wander to your heart valves and screw them up.
Go to the Doctor.
