How do you cheer yourself up when things are not too great?!

have a chat with a friend or my fiance and go out for a nice meal or to see a film or for a fun day out somewhere. or i will read a good book to escape reality for a while, or walk the dog in the fresh air. anything i enjoy doing really which i know will make me feel better.

put music on

#1, you are not alone, there are others going through the same kinds of stuff you are, so you are NOT the Lone Stranger!!!!
#2, your situation could be a whole lot worse.
#3, you could be living in a country were the s**t is really hitting the fan
#4, you are loved - there are people that care about you,( I'm one otherwise I would not have answered this question of yours)
#5, God loves you and cares about you
#6, your situation is only temporary, (unless you're doing life without)
#7, Get a kitty, they always make you smile...They're nuts!!!!!
#8, The sun is shining and the birds are singing, which indicates that all is ok in the world...for now
#9, you're still alive and have a purpose in this world
#10, no one but you can pull you out of a blue funk, happiness is all up to you. Peace and Godbless

Some fresh air
a good meal
a tall glass of ice tea or soda
a chair in the sunshine
and I read the woes and happiness of Psalms and Proverbs
(in the Bible) I can see similar situations relating to mine. I find I'm encouraged because I no longer feel alone in my problems.

do a little dance, drink some rainbow, eat some sunshine! And get a hug from someone!

i try not to be too hard on myself ..dont keep pushing to get things done etc .. take it easy til it passes
