Depersonalization?!
Question: I have recently realized the the problem i suffer from is also suffered by many others and is a real condition. I was just wondering if anyone knew or has had any experience treating depersonalization.

I had symptoms associated with 'depersonalisation' when my depression wasn't being treated (properly).

seek a therapist who specializes in post traumatic stress disorder
Talk to your Doctor about a referral to a therapist/psychologist/psychiatrist who specializes in this area, and has an excellent reputation. There are many professionals, but for this kind of detailed work, you want the "best". Good luck and God bless. KJL
i have that all the time. it is because i have multiple personalities and it is in the same category. it often happens in a public place, and sometimes people dont understand. i have chosen not to be around those who say i "ruin their good time". they dont understand because they havent experienced it. although it is completly harmless, you dont relize that when you have the out of body feeling, or feel like your in a movie. it isnt something a person can help, and while i also have panic attacks where i think i cant breathe, have irrational thoughts or fears, i cant really place this in the same category as panic attacks, because it is very real. there are medications that can help, i dont take them because im on meds for bipolar. also, make sure it isnt temporal lobe seizures,, so maybe get a brain scan just to be sure? i simply go to sleep when i am in this state, if im out alone i have someone come pick me up. therapy can help you as well. tc and good luck.
