Are these normal thoughts?!


Question: I know there isn't any real defintion of Normal. But are all these things weird?

1) Example; I spent the night at my friends house and i felt sick. Now i cant spend the night at anyones house because I believe I will get sick. And If i think im going to get sick, I usually will. (I can mentally make my self throw up, I posted a question about this already) Same thing with trying to be a vegentarian, I tried to be one maybe a year ago, lasted three days. Didn't get enough protein, felt sick. I tried about three times after that. Failed. I thought i was going to get sick. Now I think i have to eat some meat everday.

2.) Every night I have to say Goodnight Love Ya, Sleep Good Love you lots 2-3 times when going to bed.(I'm very attached to my mother.. Seperation Anxiety?) Then, I have to say good night to each person I was close to that has died (4). & give eight air kisses. (2 for each person) Then I have to have an object, Most likely a stuffed animal or pillow,that they gave to me.

I won't say they are normal or not, but they aren't common to everyone. You sound like you have OCD. I know there are ways to ween yourself off from these habits, but rather than get advice online or even a book, you really should see a professional. Perhaps you could speak to a counselor at school and he/she could help you or at least send you in the right direction. As for your mom, it's time you sat her down and had a frank talk with her. All of these behaviors are affecting your happiness and she needs to help you get well. If it's money she's worried about alot of insurance plans that people have through work have mental benefits, i.e. free counseling, hot-lines, etc.
This isn't going to go away, you really need to make an effort to work through it. Good Luck!

It sounds like you have some sort of anxiety disorder. Talk to your school counselor or a teacher. They have heard these type of things before. Maybe your school counselor/teacher will help you talk to your mom. They won't talk to her if you don't want them to though.
