Are antidepressants supposed to do this to you?!

Antidepressants are to keep your from being depressed. You probably are just not an aggressive person. If you were and now you are acting like a "zombie" then the medication you are on is not right for you.
You did not indicate what antidepressant you are taking or if you are taking a mood stabilizer with it? So it is hard to tell. But, if you have changed since you started taking the medication, then it could be too strong.
Please telll you doctor and let him decide if you are okay or need your meds changed. Your friends are not a very good judge of what you need. You would know how much change in yourself there has been since you began taking the medicine. Maybe you are better and no longer need it. Or maybe you never needed it in the first place. It depends on who gave you the medicine and why.
Many family doctors who are not really trained to treat mental illness and are much to eager to give out antidepressants. I would definitely see a psychiatrist, lol :)

Well, how long have you been taking them? They usually rev you up. Anti-depressants should be taken for at east 4 weeks for the full effect. I got very tired when I started taking Prozac. The samething happened to me when I switched to Paxil. If, by then you still feel the same, talk to your doc. Good Luck sweetie ;-)
soem make u feel brain dead and dull too but depends how long youve bee on them. if way too long then might need a change.
I know Prozac can do this, so others might too. This was why people thought Prozac was helping me when it did nothing for my depression. Not everyday will be like this. I have had some very agitated times on Prozac too. Some like being calm and quiet, but others don't. I don't think this feeling will last long.
Yeah; they have a numbing effect, particularly at first.
I wouldnt mine that all mine ive ever been on make me dig my own grave. depends if you like being that way and if you dont talk to your doctor about trying somthing else because on the accual side its really not spose to do that to you. kinda sounds like your high
