What kind of behaviour would make you call someone a psychopath and believe it?!
Question: People are so quick to label others as psycho: when someone gets extremely angry, when people act slightly strange, when a women behaves in a 'possesive' way. I wanna know what kinda things you think a psycho does or how they behave. Or what are some things a 'psycho' has done to you?

Well, a true psychopath exhibits similar qualities as a sociopath--that is, they don't feel guilt, etc. If someone were to do random crimes that were extremely cruel , particularly something like harming or killing animals, I would consider them to be a psycho or sociopath. A sociopath is more intense than a psychopath though, so I'd be careful to label anyone by this title.

i have bipolar disorder and ADHD, and the media portrays people with my disorders as either killers/psychos or just plain fakes. when i get extremely angry, it's called being manic. when i act slightly strange, it's probably from the ADHD impulses and mania.
there are sociopaths, but no one in the psych field or people who actually have a mental disorder, refer to others as psychos.

I think people like the lady in Misery (Kathy Bates) are psychopaths. She was like so obsessed with him (the novelist) and absolutely loved him. Then she goes screaming at him and breaks his legs without even wincing. And, like the other person said, with no guilt whatsoever.
I don't think the guys in the psycho ward are psychopaths, just crazy. A psychopath is like, a serial killer.
