Answers: How long are the intervals between the manic episodes. Any body?? Help

Everybody is different. There's no set length of time between episodes, I'm sorry.

And yes, a person can have a single manic episode in their lives.

You sound quite frightened... I hope you'll speak to a professional about this? We don't have to suffer with these things anymore, not any more than we have to go around with any other chronic illness.

Yes. Depression is a series of peaks and troughs with some plateaus in between. Scary and debilitating for anyone who suffers from it. The timings vary from person to person.

Katie B, you have it perfectly right

good answers, all. if you need help, get it. don't try to do this alone.

Bipolar is usually something serious and it mainly starts in late adolescence. I'll post a link. You can read up on it and I will post a lexapro site to take a bipolar test. (Manic Depression is bipolar). I don't know about a single setting of manic depression. You can't tell the difference but some can mistake a nervous breakdown for Manic as well as a temper tantrum. If something bother's a person so much and you hold it in.. you will verbally explode and start lashing out. You just have to take notes of your reactions and then speak with a doctor of what he thinks. You will usually fill out a form and speak to a psychologist.
