What can I do so I won't wake up and sleep through the night?!

Question: I wake up really early in the moning like at 5am. I actually don't have to wake up till 7 but everytime I hear a little sound I wake up and can't fall back asleep.
I'm not going to take sleeping pills I'm only 14.

Maybe I should get a humidifier (sp?) to put in my room not the new ones the old ones that make the noise.

What can I do to sleep. It's only weekdays when my parents leave for work and I'm home alone what can I do. I'm so tired by like 3nd period

If it's worse when you're home alone, I'm guessing it's some kind of anxiety about your safety. I have the same problem. So do what you can to make yourself feel safer: check that the doors are locked, put the phone within easy reach ("just in case"), then relax and breathe deeply, reminding yourself that you're perfectly safe in your own, locked house. Don't watch slasher movies like "Scream." And do mention it to your parents - maybe they can reassure you, or do something to make you feel safer.

Try Masturbating

take sleep pills like advil pm maybe?.......:-)

Try vigorous exercise after school. Don't use caffeine after about 3:00. Keep ahead in your studies. Good for you for not wanting to take sleeping pills. I am an Ambien addict, and it is hell.

In order to answer your question properly, I would need to know about your lifestyle, diet, activities, emotional health, and amount of regular exercise.

Without knowing those things, perhaps you could consider increasing exercise, even just walking more. Watch your sugar and caffeine intakes (this includes soda, pizza, breads, pasta, and more obvious candy, ice cream, and fast food).

If you start your day with sugary cereals for example, there is a huge crash later in the day. Eggs, or other proteins in the morning are of great benefit.

If you do decide to put a humidifier in your room, make sure to keep the door open.

Hope this helps!
