Why do colors mess with me?!

Question: Can anyone answer this? Some colors like the blue reflectors on the side of the road, blue or purple Christmas lights, and purple reflective colors and occasionaly others will throw me into some sort of transe or wierd feeling like they throw me into a different place and time but I don't know who, what, when, or where? Why do I do that? And also, do they remind me of something bad or good, I can't distinguish the feeling. It's just wierd.

Colors stimulate our moods through our eyes in the nervous system mostly. Did you know that I read a whole book on advertising once for school ? , and they have spent years and huge amounts of cash on finding out how we react to them? Yellow takes the longest for our eyes to process in our brain. Dusty rose or light blue tend to calm people. Ect. So I'd suggest you speak to a neurologist if you want to, as they can help you.

It sounds like you could have any of the many serious mental issues in which those are symptoms. Are you getting laid atleast twice a week? That would be the first thing i would make sure of.

I personally think that you see the colours and relate to something. maybe something that has happened in a past life?

I have problems with this and textures and being touched in certain places.....this is a sensory problem that if it doesn't totally disrupt your life just deal with it.....I just avoid...strobe lights, emergency vehicles light, being tickled, vibrators on any body part, touched around my throat, kissed in or near the ear, etc.....You can go to a place that does sensory modification or desensitivity training...NOT sure what they are called but worked at a group home for 20 yrs and a lot of our residents had similar problems... (Correction..a physical therapist would be able to help you...if your problem is that severe)....
Medical checkup to rule out other possible serious medical issues first.

Regarding colors, lights, blinking lights, occasionally the answer/part of the answer is found within the concept of light epilepsy (where blinking lights, etc., can cause seizures/unusual feelings in a few persons, not everyone). Also, synesthesia is where some persons tend to associate colors with sounds, etc. (Simplified/oversimplified). Good luck.

If it is nothing that you can relate to this life, it must be a past life. The purple stands for something very significant from somewhere in that brain of yours. Since, purple is a girl color, it may remind you of a girl.
