Self-Esteem / Self Perception Problem?!

Question: This question is somewhat odd for me....... especially because those closest to me wouldn't think this for a second..

I think I have very disturbing social anxiety disorder. I'm a 21 year old female. I'm a college student, single mom and I work part time. However, I although I do these all, all the time.... I absolutely dread going to school, work, taking my son to the park... going out to dinner with my family, because I feel so incredibly physically unattractive.

I feel as if everybody is looking at me, staring at me... and judging me based on my physical appearence. I try my hardest not to let anyone I'm with notice my extreme insecurity but inside it consumes me. It's ALL I think about when I'm in public.

I hate living like this, I just want to be okay with my physical appearence. No one says I'm ugly to my face, but I feel they think it. Maybe I'm dellusional... I don't know.

Please, anybody with REAL advice or suggestions... HELP!

I think you have body dysmorphic disorder (BDD).
I have it too.
I think about it 99% of the time, where ever I am.
I think I love deformed, repulsively disgusting, and it's hard to go out because I think everyone is staring at me and saying,
"Ew, why is she out in public?!"
So it's really hard to go in public because of that social anxiety.

You should start seeing a therapist before it gets worse.
If you need someone to talk to about it,
email me.

I never seen a booty I didn't like unless it was flat or too big.....so yeah I would stare at you, your a lady I would whistle and yell out derogatory things too......you know you like it all the real ladies do and if you don't you'll appreciate it when you get older and you trying to be like Brett Favre trying to see if you still got it....

u may have some sort of anxiety issue. u need to contact a shrink.

I feel the same way. I would say you should schedule an appointment at the psychiatrists office. They can help you, it does sound a bit like a social anxiety problem. Xanax works great=] Also, you could go to a psychologist, and talk about the way you feel. He/she will give you tips on how to change your thought process when going out.
Hope this helps.

? Love yourself ?

Fix yourself and do anything that would make you look and feel good . Then you'll feel better = )

you might need to go to counseling and find out what is causing this. I am sure you are not ugly...after all, your child's father chose to have a child with you.

It is important that you get this problem taken care of since it will impact how your child feels about him/herself.

I would also suggest you not watch as much tv. Hollywood would like for you to believe that if you are not 100 pounds and tall and white, then you are not pretty. This is simply NOT TRUE, furthermore, pretty is as pretty acts.
Plenty of people would much more enjoy being around someone of decent character then they would a model who is a bytch.

Lastly, your worth as a person is NOT defined by your face or your weight. Anyone who thinks it does is not worthy of your company in the first place.
With regards to your family, do you think that they do or say things to make you feel this way. If you are overweight and they constantly make snide remarks about this, it might be time to spend less time with them if you have made yoru comments known and they sitll do these things.

Hang in there
