I'm sorry....you know what will help..no joke...sleep with a Bible under your pillow or beside you...i don't care what other ppl say either....if you try this... i promise you that you will go to sleep feeling safe...God is powerful and if you ask him to keep you safe he will...read your Bible and trust in him....you will be fine....you can worry but it doesn't change a thing...so just think of all the nights you have worried and nothing bad happened.... you worried for nothing....see what i mean?? Feel free to email me if you need some one to talk to...

God Bless....sleep well :)

Go see a therapist. No joke.

How old are you? And when did all these fears start?

lock all doors, windows etc.... if this doesnt work see a shrink, try sleeping pills you need beauty sleep

i have no idea,
see a psychiatrist

Read the bible.
Don't listen to some of these people.
They are just rude.

i sometimes get scared like that too. i usually go watch a movie like the sound of music and try to fall asleep watching that. just don't worry, cuz those things wont happen. and just remember that your parents are right outside to protect you!

Being scared will do nothing but cause you problems. You can not stop growing up and you can not live in a cage. Things happen yes but worrying will cause you more troubles than the chance of that actually happening. Peace be with you friend :)

I'm not going to diagnose you, but it is possible you have some kind of paranoia.. Maybe you've been through some trauma lately? Or maybe it was in your childhood?
There are many reasons why this could happen. Maybe you've seen too many scary movies? Maybe you have an over-active imagination?
Try seeking some kind of support.. like God if you believe in Him, or maybe look into Buddhism. I've found Buddhism can answer A LOT of questions about life. If you feel you have no where to turn, then maybe try talking to either a friend, parent, or therapist.
If you do go to see a professional, go to a counselor first, not a psychiatrist. A psychiatrist is pretty much there to diagnose you and give you pills. Just talk to someone, it could get better.

think about all the nights that you were scared and realize that you are still alive and you were scared for nothing that night cause nothing happened to you..thats what i do..

I know how you feel. im scared to death of the dark and my house is creepy and my eyes have a tendancy to play tricks on me. you may want to get a mental evaluation one day soon or something and they can find a way that can help you get over these fears so you can get a good night of sleep. or you could just be like me, up all night working and goofing off, sleep all day. but dont recomend that cause it, sucks.

A lot of your fears are, I hope, unfounded. Are you afraid because there is a threat of somekind or are you just afraid? This could be helped with some counseling. Phobia (fears) are hard to deal with; get someone in your life to talk to. School, spiritual leader, support groups, family, friends. Phobias grow without the light shinning on them.

wow you need to loosen up man stop living in fear. you have terible paranoya problems.

just relax. cuz personally i think your real problem is you don't know what's gonna happen to you when you die. if you know what will happen when you die, then you can conquer the world. or being raped, or whatever.

ok well let me tell you what my dad used to tell me only worry about the things you can change .. locks on doors , a dog or alarm system can help you feel more secure , , certain fears are normal , but worrying to excess can be unhealthy raising blood pressure , causing angina , etyc . It could be a form of obsessive compulsive disorder . Might I suggest you pray , seriously , Jesus will help stop your worries, feel free to emal me if you wish to know more about Jesus or consult a local pastor. I also suggest you first start with your parents . Good Luck

OMG i am now 14 and when i was 12 he EXACT same thing happened to me... i failed a test because i was so sleep deprived... anyway the way i overcame it is i would play harry potter on cd really quiet... anyway when i was laying in bed i would just concentrate on Harry Potter... or another book on tape... anyway there's only one problem with that... i am now addicted and can't fall asleep if im not listening to it lol.. but try !!!

I think you should definitely talk to your parents about this -- it could be that you are experiencing perfectly normal anxiety about something going on in your life right now that is expressing itself in this way. I think you shoudl try to get some professional help developing positive coping mechanisms for whatever it is you're anxious about.

If you don't feel up to confessing all this to your parents, though, you might want to try some relaxation exercises before you go to sleep. Lie on your back, prefectly relaxed. Think about your toes first. Take three deep breaths, slowly, and with each breath, say "my toes are relaxed." Do that again for your feet, for your legs, for your hips, etc all the way to the top of your head. Make sure to breathe slowly and really focus your mind on that body part. By the time you get to your head, hopefully you'll be fast asleep.

Also make sure not to drink caffeine or eat a lot of sugar before bed.

Good luck!!

dude u should probaly see a phyciatrist

until then u should do whatever makes u feel safe

lock ur windows and doors so no one can get in

if u can lock ur bedroom door

maybe sleep with your favorite toy or stuffed animal or whatever

sleep with a pet

if u have a t.v in ur room sleep with that on

You have some unfounded fears, perhaps by watching too much TV or talking to people or reading the news or listening to people's stories....or, hell...when we're young and first become aware of this stuff we get frightened because we have good imaginations.

So..you have anxiety, and you need to find something to help you forget this stuff before you go to bed. Maybe you need to read a happy book, or watch a happy video, or get a cat or a dog..animals always make me feel safe and happy in my bed.

Maybe your parents need better lock up in their house or you need better locks or an alarm? Maybe you need some stops on your windows so people can't open them? My special alarm system makes me feel better with my son and me.

Chances are you are simply very sleepless and have a great thought process and need to relax. Look into some relaxing activities before bed and stay off the computer, the TV and do something fun and relaxing. Get a cat.

Finally, you may need a sleep medication or a anti-anxiety med but that is last resort.

Hm, it sounds to me like you're suffering possibly from post-tramatic stress disorder. Has there been an event or situation in your life that has rendered you so emotionally unstable that is has been difficult to cope ever since? If there has been, then the fears and paranoia you are experiencing now could be directly linked to your past.

An even stronger possibility is that you are suffering from depression or even bipolar disorder. Extreme paranoia and fear are common symptoms of bipolar disorder, as well as irrational thinking and extreme amounts of energy.

Have you ever been raped or robbed in your life? Perhaps the reason why you are in such fear of these potential situations occuring is because it has actually happened to you before. Although it is entirely possible for these events to occur, it is obviously not normal for one to be in constant fear of these events occuring. Honestly, I am not a doctor or physiciatrist, so in conclusion I can't really evaluate and diagnose your problems as accurately as a doctor or physiciatrist could.

Still, if you cannot sleep and you need somebody to talk to and calm you down, please feel free to send me a message or IM me. I would suggest taking a sleep aid medication to help get you sleepy.

You should talk to your parents about your fears and tell them that you need to talk to a therapist about your fears.
In life, we must learn that there are some things that we have no control over and fear will not solve a problem. Try this technique to help you fall asleep.
In your mind, picture your favorite relaxing place. Start your journey there by preparing what you are going to wear and how you will pack your things. Actually go step by step in your mind. If someone is driving you, picture getting into the car, or taking the bus etc. Go through all the details of getting to your favorite place and go through all the details of what you will do when you get there. If you brought a blanket to relax in a park, picture yourself finding the perfect place, putting the blanket down and getting yourself comfortable. Picture a favorite animal near by or a nice sound etc. Go into great detail
You will get so good at this and so relaxed that you will fall asleep and wake up rested. It really works, and the best part is that you have total say of what and how you are going to imagine your favorite place. Good luck and enjoy.

Honey, I really think you go and see someone about this problem. It's normal to have thoughts about the unknown or the "what if's" in life, but not to the point where you begin to obsess over them or they start to have an affect on your everyday life. And if this is preventing you from getting any rest, eventually it will have a negative impact on your health. I think you have a bit of anxiety and there are things that a doctor can do for you to lessen or eliminate this problem all together. You don't have to give me best answer, but please take my advice. It will help you in the long run. Good luck.

it may just be a temporary thing, but it also sounds like generalized anxiety disorder, which is where you worry about scary things nonstop. meds, talk therapy, and relaxation training are all helpful for it. get help sooner, rather than later, because the more you get into the habit of worrying, the longer it will take to break the habit. take care!

i started having the same problem last year and let me tell you, you need to see a psychiatrist. you have anxiety, why? no one knows but you, if you do not know, the doc will help you figure it out. he put me on anti anxiety meds. it turned my world around, i am off now, because i made a connection with reality and how i was feeling at night, when i was afraid. every thing you say you are afraid of, is exactly the things i was afraid of, amazing. without help there is nothing you will be able to do to change things, night after night, you will be scared, from someone who knows. do not let anyone tell you that you can take a deep breath, or sleep with the light on, or any thing like that, it is not going to work. talk to your parents. good luck !

think of happy thoughts and go to sleep.
