It sounds familiar....I have 2 young kids husband has two other kids that come every other weekend can't get out to make friends. I'm defineltly missing something I have no time for anything......do what I do, try doing things for yourself go shopping witha family member or take your kids out to the park in the city surely at some point you could meet somebody or maybe an old friend from school. It isn't working for me right now because of medical problems but just have a little faith and be grateful for everyday you have with your kids even your step kids.Good luck

umm smoke some bud?

Have you tried just getting involved in more things. Taking classes, charity events, photography, blogging, hiking. Who know you might even meet some new people. And these could include or children or not. You may even want to try to spend some real time on yourself.

If you've had previous periods like this or been feeling this way for over a year, you might want to try talking to your primary care physician about the possibility that you may be suffering from depression. It is estimated that at least 50% of Americans suffer from depression at some time in their lives. There are two type of depression, circumstantial and physiological. Circumstantial depression is caused by something that happened in your life, such as the loss of a loved one. Physiological depression is due to a neurotransmitter imbalance in the brain and can be treated with modern medications. Also, depression can be a combination of these. You can by genetically prone to physiologic depression and have an episode triggered by something that happened in your life.

What you're missing is your own presence.

Experience your own presence. That is all. Just keep this up, and all misery will end.
