I have OCD and keep having these recurring thoughts. Help?!
Question: In November 2007, my wife and I were returning home from a cross country road trip vacation and we stopped in a city in the southern plains. We got on the "wrong" street in the "wrong" neighborhood and the local kids (African American) realized instantly that we were not their neighbors, call it reverse racial profiling. Well, to make a long story short, they wouldn't move out of our right of way on the public street that they took over. We made a u-turn and found our way back to the Interstate but, the thought of those little folk's abusing my wife and I in this way will not leave my mind and if you know how us obssessives operate, you can only imagine the thoughts that run through my mind when this encounter enters it. I don't live that far from there. How can I stop these thought?

First of all OCD is a realy sirious matter. I think you should check out a doctor/phsycolosgist, that deals with COD. but other than thoughts such as those you mentioned are pretty normal. i mean if u felt you and your wife were at danger maybe those thoughts were normal. i know i would think the same if i was in that kind of situation.
