What's the diagnosis or w/e called when someone makes up stories in their he!

Question: A pathological liar is someone who spontaneously makes up a lie, usually for no apparent reason. He is usually not trying to "look good" or cover up a mistake. He just impulsively tells a story that does not give him any personal gain. A pathological liar frequently comes up with wild stories and usually believes them until he is caught and proven wrong.

Someone suffering from delusions does not "make up" stories- The thoughts are just there, just as someone suffering from hallucinations does not "make up" the hallucinations. Unlike a pathological liar, someone who is delusional believes their story even when someone proves them wrong- there is no talking them out of believing it.

Pathological liar or if these stories are medical related, hypocondriac.

if it's in relation to health and diseases it is hypochondria. I knew someone with it, and we would fake sneeze around her and wait. In a couple of minutes she would sneeze, too, and say she had a terrible cold.
