Isnt it funny how the bad stuff is easier to rememeber? I feel like I only have a few good memories to name, but a million bad ones! Your not alone. As much as you dont want to admit it, it could be depression and your probaly better off discussing this with someone. Maybe the reason you cant get over something is because you left something unresolved. So think could it be something you can work out? Maybe, maybe not. Either way we cant earse our memories, but try to think that those bad memories were lessons for life and youve learned from it. Also I'd recommend excerise to almost anyone. Youll feel better both mentally and physically so take some head phones and go for a job!

This is called depression. You need to talk to someone and a doctor may be the answer even though you may not think so.

You will never erase bad memories so the first step will probably be in accepting that they may pop up from time to time and that it's normal. Then come up with a statement for yourself to deal with the emotion that these memories evoke. For instance, when I hear an argument I have flashbacks to when I was young and my parents would argue. This frightened me deeply because they were passionately angry people. So when I have that memory flashback I take a moment to reassure myself that I'm not a helpless child anymore and that there is no danger. (This addresses the two main emotions I get from the memory, helplessness and fear.) You're right, you probably don't need a doctor or medication, although a counselor can be very helpful in directing you along the steps of this kind of cognitive therapy too. There are also good books about this, but I can't think of one off the top of my head. Hope that was helpful.
