Weird thoughts?!

Question: about a year ago I was diagnosed with MDD and GAD. Since then I have had occasional violent thoughts. About a month and a half ago I changed my meds and it had some side affects. I became agitated very easily and had very frequent homicidal thoughts. I decided to stop taking my meds and things started to get better. Even though I have been off of the meds, I still occasionally have violent thought (they are not as bad). I find myself wanting to be psychotic. wanting people to fear me and have everyone know who I am and what horrible things I have done. I picture my self being hospitalized and picturing how I will hurt the people there and I smile when I think about what is being said about me.It is not at the point where I think I will act on anything I just need some advice on what to do about it. I don't want to speak to a psychiatrist because I don't want to be put back on meds and make everything worse.

i realize that you say you dont want to take meds but there are so many medications out there that it can take time to find the right ones..i also agree that meds arent the only anser but chatting with a professional that you feel comfortable with can help too...both meds and a good therapist complement each other as with meds finding a good therapist can take time too......pls do some thing nto help you take care and good luck

Meds are not a solution to problems, included disorders such as MDD and GAD. Often meds need to be adjusted in dosage or changed due to side effects.
You are experiencing symptoms that need to be treated.
It is not uncommon to need to go back on meds later on.
The meds will not make everything worse. Psychiatrists work very hard to help you. They try their hardest not to make your medicines have harmful side effects.
Having violent thoughts and feeling psychotic is not a good thing. Help yourself fix this.
Please see your professional so that you can not have to have such thoughts anymore. It will improve even your overall quality of life.

go to counseling but refuse meds!!!

yah they are right dont use meds anymore and try to think about good things like ice cream and two ice creams or how about three ice creams or better yet four ice creams just joking just try to think about good things
