How to improve concentration?!

Question: I am a college student and I have a very difficult time paying attention and focusing, especially when I have a lot of reading to do. I was "diagnosed" with ADHD in high school, but I am not interested in taking pills because I don't take any prescriptions, and I also don't believe that ADHD is a real condition. (I have my own reasons for that belief so don't yell at me. I'm a psychology minor and I've learned a lot about ADHD and I think it's bogus.) Anyways, I was wondering if anyone with attention problems has had success with natural remedies and/or behavioral changes. Again, don't tell me to take Ritalin because I won't.

Many people with ADD are helped with Omega 3 fatty acids. You can find it in fish oil or flax seed oil. Some kids in a recent study took as much as 10,000 mg. a day to help with the ADD. I take 6,000 mg. a day just to help with brain function. One of my clients, a nine-year-old boy was muscle-tested recently and needs 7,500 mg. a day. These fatty acids are essential for brain function. Many of my clients who don't want to take medication use some form of emotion to generate the adrenaline necessary to kick up the circulation in the pre-frontal cortex. It helps many of them. Exercise helps as well. One man, who has suffered from ADD for most of his life, but has a Doctorate in Education, has to get up from the PC and walk around every ten minutes when he is writing. Something may work for you. Just keep experimenting.

alright as for.. focusing on reading. wat i wud do somtimes is.. walk back and forth and read. or read aloud. somtimes i'd turn down all the lights and just point my lamp to wat im reading.

* Some may choose to believe that the Earth is flat. Doesn't make it so. My grandson was a failing student, even held back one year. He started on Concerta. Now he's an A student.

i you're profs let you, chew gum. I really helps me stay concentrated, I don't know why. Just try it, what do you have to lose?
