I can harly go to bed because my mind keeps telling me I have stuff to do when I!

Question: It usually takes me awhile to go bed because my mind is always telling me, "There's something you have to do, something you should be working on. There's something to finish." Unyet, there is nothing to do, nothing at all. Plus, I also feel full of energy and not tired at all. Why can't I go to sleep so easily?

There are a lot of reasons people have trouble sleeping.
Some simple ideas to try are:
go to bed at the same each night, so you have a routine.
Don't eat within 2 hours of bedtime, so your body isn't recharging.
Don't drink caffeine within 4 hours of bedtime.
Do not do anything in bed but sleep and have sex. If you watch tv or read in bed, then your mind subconsciously forgets what mode to go into when you go to bed.
Try doing something that relaxes you. That old "counting sheep" thing is famous for a reason. try to zone out.

If none of these work, there could be other reasons including stress from work/school/friends/etc
or it could be a more serious mental health issue. Having extra energy in addition to inability to sleep may signal a deeper problem.
If you try to resolve the issue on your own but still feel the same, it may be a good idea to consult your physician who can tell you if you may need to see a mental health professional.

just close ur eyes and try to relax, think about sumthin else that makes you happy, block out al those annoying thoughts and just SLEEP

These things happen due to your minds non adjustments to your activities. You are thinking someother thing while doing one thing. So try to concentrte and finish that particular work fully. Then you are relieved from that tnen think of other. If plan andwork definitely your sleeping time wont be affected. Pls try this and tell me. PlanPlan and pla planning is essential for everything ok

your mind is racing from all of the activities of the day and possibly from the anticipation of tomorrow-chill out by reading a book or taking a warm bath

I wish I had an answer for you, but I suffer from the same problem. It takes me hours to fall asleep because my mind is always running through projects and ideas. I just can't shut down at night to fall asleep. There are a couple of things you can try that might help.

Camomile tea is a traditional remedy to help you relax and is a mild sedative.

Melatonin is available as a suplement at most drug stores. Meltaonin is one of the chemicals normaly produced by the human brain to trigger the sleep mode. Taking 1 or 2 mg at bed time may help if your brain is not producing enough on its own.

Trying not to think is difficult. You should experiment with some different music. For some people just instrumental is best but for others songs you know the lyrics well can help. If you are kind of singing along with the music it might distract your brain enough that you won't be thinking about other things. Some people also get good results of the disks of nature sounds.
