Hi Friend, yes this could happen, as there is not one set rule for what sleepless people suffer we all experience it differently and some people do things they can't remember cos the brain is lacking oxygen to work normally.
Most Doctors in this country got with the norm and if Joe suffers this way then everybody who has the same as Joe suffers the same way. our small minded Doctors couldn't tell green from blue unless it was written in a book somewhere by some so called Famous professor.
It was stated the other day Australia have the worst doctors in the world as they are only after the fancy salary.

Yes, your brain will stop making connections, like between sight and what the object is. I have actually started hallucinating from lack of sleep. It is basically your brain shutting down because it needs to, even though you are still forcing yourself to be awake. It is not good to stay awake that long. Those are signs that your brain is telling you it needs to sleep. Prolonged lack of sleep will actually cause psychosis.

yes and than it seems like you will never get anysleep...than it takes along time to catch up on the sleep you were deprived....i am pro at sleep deprived ......single mom of three, work and full time student..............

On top of all terrible things we sometimes do to our bodies and minds, sleep deprivation is probably the worst (I know, I suffer from it and still haven't gotten better over it).

It can cause hallucinations, constipation, dehydration, depression, extreme fatigue, irritability, you name it.

I've had ghost white skin from not sleeping enough. I noticed it when I was singing in a rock band and never slept.

It's amazing . Never rule out sleep deprivation. It is key.
