Does anyone have a technique?!

Question: does anyone have a technique to get those really, bad, bad thoughts out of your mind? ones that kinda haunt you and are hard to push away?

Try EFT.

Here is a link in youTube.
Just like anything else, you will find negative and positive comments. I have heard of several positive responses to a very easy to learn method of getting through illness and emotional issues.

i do positive things or activities that i really like or read

yes, it's called therapy and can really help confront your issues. don't let your thought haunt you...speak about them, get them out in the open. a good therapist will help you through it.

yes. write them down on paper. get them out, every last one of them. use strong language and let out all your emotions.

read it again, then destroy the paper.

you will be free from them.

Thoughts of death, thoughts of hurting yourself or others, thoughts of suicide, images of you brutally attacking someone you love... there are lots of difficult thoughts to get rid of.

I don't know if you have any faith in anything but... the only thing that works for me consistently is to either pray or read the Bible... or both. I read the Psalms at times and say them in my heart as a prayer, that can calm me and make me happy in almost any situation. And I know, I've had the thoughts too. I feel so much more at peace when I trust in and feel connected to God's Love.

And if you aren't religious, see if you can read or watch something that is comforting to you, something that reminds you of peace and love and the good things in the world. I don't see how any of them can compare to feeling close to God but it might work for you. Best of luck and God Bless you in your difficulties and your life.

I meditate or talk to someone about it all.
Meditation Technique:
1. Get into a comfortable position
2. Think of any word
3. Push EVERYTHING out of your mind except for the focus word and repeat it over and over again to yourself or out loud.

Take deep breaths over and over again and tell yourself that everything will be all right and that you will get through this temporary phase. I've done it before and it helps me a lot. Also, taking hot bubble baths with lavender bath salts can also soothe your nerves and help give you a calm and rejuvenating feeling. Listening to trance music can also help, since it gives you a feeling of being in another place that's really calm and peaceful.
