My heart hurts for you! No you're not the only person who does this. Are you wanting to stop or decrease the amount you're doing it? There are some resources out there where you can find support:

1-800-DONTCUT is a national hotline you can call to receive help.

Also, www.selfinjury.com, is a great resource for coping with self-injury. There is an online blog there where you can join in a supportive network of other self-injurers who are trying to stop or decrease. This is NOT a "how-to" site (for those others that may read this post), but a support site.

If you can't do those things, but you want help, find a friend or other trusted adult (I don't know how old you are), and ask for help. Please know, you're not weird or alone!

your not the only one who cuts themselves i do it too but i don't stab myself...its just a personal preference you should really try to stop if you can try wearing a rubber band on your wrist and snapping it when you feel like cutting...hope this helps

Think about it for a second... stabbing flesh with a needle...
It's not much a weird thing than it is a bad thing. The only time someone should be poking you with a needle is when you visit your doctor for a shot.

D:

Cutting and hurting oneself is not uncommon, so don't feel totally alone. However, it is not normal and requires attention.

It does require therapy, because it will only get worse.

What it usually means is that something is going on in your life that is extremely emotionally distressing; or perhaps it was when you were little. You are experiencing such stress to your mind that it's better to feel the physical pain of a cut or stab than to feel the emotional pain of something else.

People (usually young) do this for YEARS. Don't be one of those. It becomes an addiction like drugs, or an obsession. It's an escape from emotional pain.

I'm sorry this sounds bad, but I just wanted to give you a short explanation. Now it's your turn to find out if you wish to stop and seek help to do so.

It matters not if you are the only one or if there are 1,000,000,000 others doing this. Its like a drunk spending his life trying to figure out why hes a drunk instead of dealing with it. The depression is the primary concern here I think. The other stuff is the result. You must want help or you wouldn't write, so go get some.

Crazy Bi*ch....
