Is it pathological to think you are anything but an animal?!

Question: I also asked this question in psychology. Give me something to think about people.

It seems to me that a condition of the human experience is emotional discomfort. I don't see a lot of this in observing nature. If man thinks he is more than an animal, expects more out of himself and others than capable (because he's just an animal), don't you think that could be the cause of a lot of his emotional distresses? Could it be patholigical to try to be anything but a 'good' animal? I hope this makes sense.

I believe your assumption to be correct after all I believe we did evolve from the primitive Ape to Caveman ... Could be why humans are afflicted with personalty disorders

Actually I agree and don't really have anything to offer to think about.

I would rather scratch my balls.

You may be on to something...
OMG, LMAO J

it would be pathological if you were doing harm to others. I think you should consider looking at things from an evolutionary perspective. It also relates to all the different ranges of consciousness we have siting in our brains. There is quite a lot that is automatic actually and in a sense we are kind of like zombies.

a lot of emotional distress is certainly likely to occur when we are too introspective.
