My 5 year old likes going round and round in circles?!

Question: Even when the other kids are sick and need to get off the ride she just goes faster and more, she is forever turning in circles and standing on her head, does this mean she will like to get drunk one day?

thanks

Does your child spin in circles herself all day (or most of the time)? Is she developing normally in every other way? If so, then i would not worry at all, she is just being her silly self!
If she wasnt developing in other ways, like speech and having appropiate eye contact, then i would be worried. My son is 9 and he is autistic and he spins alot but that does NOT mean i am saying your child is at all! I am just saying, if she is okay in every other way, then i wouldnt worry about it!

I don't think this has any bearing on future states of sobriety. Some kids like more stimulation than others do. As long as it doesn't make her fall, or get her confused or unable to talk, it's probably just a harmless phase.

no, she might be drunk now, like that little girl on tv who was four, do they know each other? jk....my son did that also....he loved to go fast, don't know why..and he doesn't drink lol

she has a cast-iron stomach and might be a great dancer or gymnast one day. She is obviously honing her physical skills.
As for becoming drunk, does she see that in her family at all? I think it is a separate issue.

Probably but dont we all!

*giggles* Why worry so much? She sounds like she has a ton of energy. Plus she's only 5; most kids constantly have bursts of energy at that age & act that way. Maybe she'll grow up to be a gymnast or something one day. I don't see how this is relevant to developing alcoholic habits either. Don't worry! :)

I would mention this to the girl's doctor the next time you see him.. Chances are it isn't of any significance, but that's why they have doctors & don't send people to Y/A for diagnosis..
