Health Problems.....?!

Question: Im really worried about my nana, I go and see about twice a week and everytime I see her she tells me the same story like shes not told me it before, and for about 3months now she said she can hear the neighbours talking about her, which I doubt as her walls arent that thin you can hear things through them, the other day my dad went to see her and she was telling her there was a guy outside looking at next doors house and when my dad looked nobody was there, also that day she rang me up for something and forgot to put the phone down and I heard her talking for about 10minutes to someone, when I rang her back and asked her who was just at her house she said she was all alone and why?..... What do you think the problem could? She has not had any health problems in the past.

I would pretty much BET that your nana's experiencing Alzheimers Disease. There are some medications out there that can alleviate the condition, & possibly pretty much stop the disease in its tracks - or, possibly even help her to keep her memory. She definitely needs to get diagnosed & treated, though, for people with this disease often do unpredictable spontaneous things. Sometimes they cannot live alone, & often need much supervision, for they could put something on the stove to cook, & forget it's there 'til the house is burning down - for example.
I hope I'm not scaring you, for I'm just trying to stress the dire need of your nana getting the help she so needs & deserves.
If it's any consolation, my aunt lives with this condition.

Have you asked her if everything is ok with her? I know, it's a very sensitive subject. My gran had the same thing and my mum went to see her GP about her. Could you see your Nana's GP?

How old is she? She could be in the first stages of Alzheimer's you should have her taken to her Dr to find out there are some pretty good meds than can help in the early stages. She could also be having a mental breakdown but the Dr can test for that and possibly be able to help her. Do it soon.

she sounds like her age is affecting her (either that or she's dating someone and paranoid about being caught lol)

maybe you could tell her you're worried about her and see what she says...
