I used to get panic attacks all the time! It's horrible. I learned that sudden drops in your blood sugar levels can trigger one.

Start looking at your diet.

- Try to keep your meals small and frequent.
- Eat low glycemic foods
- Cut back on sugars, starches
- No caffeine

Learn breathing techniques. Deep, slow and methodical breathing even when you are not having a panic attack.

Best of luck!
:)

take deep breathes and count to ten, this help relax the heart and body, my dad had these really bad and it worked for him, you can do to the doctor but all they are going to d its prescibe a medscine that makes you hallucenate

Are you unhappy at your job? Is there something there that triggers them? If panic attacks are only happening at work, then you might need to re-evaluate being there.

Get two quarters in one hand with them on top each other between the thumb and first two finger slide them so the bottom one is now on top and do it again and again.

do this out of the pocket if you can

What this does is takes your 100% concentation off of what is going on around you

And to those two quarters and not wanting to drop them on the floor.

close your eyes think of a happy place count to 10 while takeing deep breaths then count back down to 1. thats what they tell me to do when 1 hits me and it seems to help.

Hi! Maybe you should find a counsellor or psychologist that has experience treating anxiety problems. Look for someone who knows about relaxation therapy. This involves teaching you how to control muscle tension so that when you feel like you're in a situation that may trigger a panic attack, you know how to control your muscels more and it will reduce the panic attacks.
Good Luck!

i used to have panic attacks really bad and was even on effexor and zoloft but the panic was still there. then i got the linden method http://lindenmethod.net and i made a full recovery. it works great and I highly recommend it.

Probably want to go to the doctor and explain to him/her what is going on and especially since they are effecting your everyday life. Their are medicines that can help you deal get this under control without a lot of side effects. I take Lexapro for my attacks and it really helps.
