What's your OCD?!

Question: I believe I suffer from minor OCD. And it's over something stupid! I am CONSTANTLY apply chapstick (Chapstick brand lip moisturizer only) and whenever I go to bed I always set the alarm then I say down and close my eyes. About 5-10 minutes later I get back up and check the alarm to make sure I set it even though I know I already did!!

So what's your OCD? Does anyone else have anything as quirky as me?

I check my alarm all the time, even when I know I've set it.
The volume on the tv HAS to be an odd number.
Not only do I put my money from least to greatest amount and all bills facing the same way, I organize them by serial number too!
I have to have an odd number of pillows on my bed. Right now there's 7.
When I come to a stopping place in a book, the page number that I stop on has to be a odd number.

who nos
not stephanie
soooorray

well i step on side walk cracks

dirty carpet

I always check the alarm for my house about five times.. and that the door is locked.
I also check if all my books are in my bag the night before school (AHAHA, sounds so nerdy!). I do that about ten times.

thats not OCD, it not something to joke about, to some people its like cutting it controls there lives.

same morning routine every weekday morning

I'm a MAJOR germaphobe and perfectionist.

yeah, mine's also kinda weird. i have to type words that i see on tv or stuff people say like theres' an imaginary keyboard. I also have to count stuff.

No,

but I have heard that some chapsticks have a drying agent that eventually makes them addictive.

When people go to the movie theater and start texting in pitch dark and theres an annoying light comming from there cell phone. YOU GO TO A MOVIE TO WATCH IT!!! NOT TXT!!!!

Also!

When people hawnk at you RIGHT when it turns green.

Cant stand those >.<

Everyone has OCD to some extent. It's only when it starts becoming really unrational and interfering with your normal life that it becomes a problem. Mine is probably my brother drinking from my drinks. I can let anyone do it but my brother!

Checking that I've locked the car 5 seconds after locking it. Then after I get out of sight of the car, I want to go back and check it again.

Wash my hands over and over again sometimes due to a bad experience. I hope to get out of it because it is quite annoying. But I don't think it has developed into OCD yet.

haha
lol
i do the same with the alarm clock

I do the same thing, and if I touch something with my left hand I have to touch it with my right. And vise versa, it's a curse! Atleast their minor and go unnoticed. The best part is you'll never have cactus lips; which is the worse!

I always set my alarm to go off at an odd number time, for example instead of setting it for 4:30, i will set it for 4:31

alright i know i am a weirdo but never mind.....lmao

I cannot step on any cracks on the sidewalk, and I can't have the juices from one food on my plate touch another food. That just totally grosses me out. I also ALWAY have to have a hair tie on my right wrist, even if I already have one in my hair. It just bugs me ;)

I hate it when cupboard doors or drawers are left partially open, and spend a long time shutting them. Even at work in my bosses office lol I hope she understands.
Anyway, it comes to a crunch at my sister's house when she opens doors and drawers a crack all day long when I visit.
I have found it best to retalliate by wedging something under my coffee cup coaster so that my cup sits on a slight slope, then I simply sit back and see how long it takes her to implode. :)

Yep I'm that way too. I have to be symmetric- for example, if I slapped the left side of my face, I would have to do it to the right side too. I also have to completely close letters when I'm writing (as in I can't have an O that resembles a C). I hate when things aren't completely centered in a paper. I'm minor OCD- or just anal. :)

My old roommate used to go back inside the house and check the stove and coffeepot, then she'd wiggle the door to make sure it was locked, walk away, then go back and wiggle it. Sometimes she'd unlock then relock it.

Yours isn't so bad! Some people have to touch everything a certain number of times and wash their hands a hundred times a day.

my feet being wet other than in the shower
gritting teeth my hubby does when he sleeps and it drives me mad
lumpy bed spread when im trying to sleep
messed up sheets
i get up ever 15 mins to look at my daughter when shes sleep sometimes i swear i do it in my sleep cuz ill wake up with my hand on her chest

Whenever I saw a crow when I was younger I made myself think of elephants, honestly! I was very supersticious. One thing in my bedroom had to be in a certain place, I would keep count of things how many steps it took me to get to the bus. I even did the checking and rechecking of the alarm clock too. I've kinda grown out of it, but the bit I still struggle with I apply towards stuff that matters.

I cant touch things that other people touch.. like door handles, mail and other things... I freak out if I cant wash my hands straight after... anything outside my home is just to scary too touch for me.. I absolutely hate it too, it makes me feel like a freak...

I don't think you have OCD. I pull my hair out constantly.

well mine is i always have to check my alarm clock before i go to bed i mean anywhere from five to six times before going to bed. also i am always checking to see i locked the door before i leave and it the same with my car door.

i wash my hands all the time to where they are cracked and bleed -- i cuss people all the time in my head -- move my plants all the time --

i have a flip phone and anytime i open it i have to open and close it 5 times or ill go nutz!

I count things compulsively. I can't go up or down stairs without counting them, and I count lightbulbs in the ceiling repetitively, tracing out patterns in between them while I count them over and over again!! I like the numbers of things to end in multiples of five, and so I will add or subtract numbers of thing in order to make them add up to five! That sounds so crazy, but I don't think anyone knows I do this!

ever watched monk?? the tv show??
well, im the female version of him =s
