No, you have to wait until you are at least 20 to get into the "I'm bipolar" club. On the bright side, you only have to be 13 to get into the "I'm depressed" club. About the only thing you are eligible for now you be the ADD or Oppositional Defiant clubs. Also, keep an eye out, they add new ones all the time.

Bipolar disorder most commonly presents in the late teens and early 20s.

Best wishes

the swings must be very extreme, stay up all night with a sudden project and crash out and never finish or get out of bed....not just moody

I would recomend you see a doctor because it is most likely just hormones (my brother is 13 and he is a real moody pain in the rear end) but you can't be too sure really until you pass the phase. A visit to the doctor couldn't hurt though.

According to Wikipedia: "Onset of symptoms generally occurs in young adulthood."

So I suppose it could be earlier, but it is just rarer.

You could just be Moody because you are going through puberty. It happens to us girls. It happened to me and my friends. You're probably just moody because your body is changing. We get moody and we don't mean to.

Alot of times depression is hereditary, but you could also just be feeling blue, go speak with a counselor or your doctor.

i suspect it is the hormones coursing through your body its a fact of growing up . just dont be so hard on your self. you can adjust your diet (try to cut dowm on the hormone injected meats & dairy) if you change your diet just make sure you still getting what you need leafy greens ar filled with calcium & deliver it without any fat , fish has healthy proiteins & vitamin D. Or try to ask your mom to get that chicken thats not treated with antibiotics & hormones its rather cheap at sam's club.
And I really reccomend exrecise, a daily walk will work. this will help keep your moods in balance. i think sometimes mood swings are caused by excess energy.

yes, it is early onset bipolar disorder-there are some websites-someone was onAnswers asking questions about their 5 year old diagnosed with it.

With the disorder teh moods are EXTREME and often out of control and irrational-people will do extremely dangerous and even illegal things when tehy have bipolar disorder

Hoepfully your relative is on medication and what you witness is generally the good moods-not the disorder moods--so if you think you act like teh relative it might not mean anything
some mood swings are normal
