hey honey,
sure it's probably that. sleep paralysis, but you never know. i had that same thing happen to me once, but it only happened once. let me tell you about i had recently moved into a mobile home, one night i heard strange noises and woke up, i thought it was my brother n law b/c he lived w/ me and my boyfriend, well i tried to move when i realized the noise was inside my room, and well i couldn't, i tried to scream but nothing came out of my mouth i closed my eyes and prayed for the lord to help me, i opened them and with all my strength i pulled one of my hands free and hit my boyfriend very hard in his chest, he woke up and finally i let out this very loud scream, my brother in law even woke to see what was up, i cried and cried about it b/c i felf hopeless and scared. i told a good friend of mine and she said it was a bad spirt that had wanted to get a hold of me she said that before it tried again to pray and put holy water all over my house i did and it did not happen again, so i would say to try that and if that doesn't work maybe it is sleep paralysis, and if it happens every night you need to get help... let me know what happens

sleep paralysis

It's called sleep paralysis. It's actually fairly common. A lot of people report feeling like something heavy is sitting on their chest, or sitting beside them on their bed. It's more common if you sleep on your back, so maybe try sleeping on your side or your stomach. Don't be afraid though, it's nothing harmful or dangerous. It happens to me a lot too and I'm not really afraid anymore. :)

Wikipedia explains it also - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paral...

It sounds like sleep paralysis (check out the link below). It's sort of a stage between dreaming and being awake where you want to move your body but it's frozen. Often it is accompanied by nightmarish experiences.

Pretty much everybody has it at some point.

Yeah...I used to experience that as well. It's called Sleep Paralysis. See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paral...

I also experienced Lucid dreams where your mind wakes up in your dream, you are aware of your dream, and you have full control of your dream world.

Some people's mind are just more aware during sleeping. It is not uncommon to experience what you are. Medications can sometimes be part of the cause.

Just try to remember while experiencing it that it is not real and keep yourself calm. Tell yourself there is no reason to be scared, and try to divert scary thoughts to pleasurable ones. Also, search on the internet for ways to counteract sleep paralysis.

Good Luck!

You could have a rare sleeping disorder in which your brain is having a hard time transitioning through the sleep cycle. You should speak to your doctor. This certainly isnt fatal just scary.

your in a light sleep dont worry

Astral projection is the theory that your body separates from your conciseness when you sleep. It is possible that this is your conciseness connecting with the astral plane in some way, and that this is is a classic case of negative attack in sleep projection. if so, you can control the situation by fighting back. in your sleep, slowly work on concentrating on the sight of the events in question. slowly work on mentally controlling the events, which could help weather the anomaly is astral projection, or just some sort of sleep paralysis, which is also possible.
Good luck! : )
