I have a list of syemptoms and the docs cant put it all together.?!

Question: I have very high memory loss, OCD, bipolar, depression, ADHD but instead of getting hyper I get depressed (common in females), sleep paralysis, and brain zaps (witch the docs never heard of but I looked it up online and it explained it exactly to the tee) The docs did a MRI and a eeg and everything was normal so far but I don't get it. I'm going through so much with all this stuff. Is there a web site that u can put ur syemptoms on or can some help me to find out what is wrong with me or to point me in the right direction?

You have many psychological problems going on here. I assume the memory loss is your short term memory loss which can be a result of anxiety, depression and ADHD. Are you on any meds for your disorders because you definitely need to be on them? I really don't like the drugs for ADHD but they do help with the behavior in school but many are addictive. I taught problem children and even though they had been difficult to deal with, I loved them and loved helping them. There is always at least one subject that you can get through to a child and keep their interest even for awhile. These children couldn't function in a regular school, so they were sent to a private school (no charge) . It is the school I taught at. OCD and Bipolar disease need meds as this is a chemical imbalance and you need the meds to get under control. It doesn't sound like you are having the manic stage of bipolar disease, but that doesn't mean it will stay like that. Lamectal is one med for this condition. They use Abilify now also as mood stabilizers. What do you mean by sleep paralysis? Are you actually feeling paralyzed or is it that you can't sleep.....sometimes for days? That's common in bipolar disorder especially without meds to control it if you arent' sleeping well or at all. You can't function like this. You researched brain zaps but didn't say what you found out , as I have never heard that term used. There must be a medical term for it and I wish you had described it. An EEG and an MRI will many times show nothing unless they catch you in an episode at that time. Even without this tests, you should be in a sleep disorder clinic where they can monitor brain while you sleep and hopefully something will happen in that time that will help diagnose your problems , especially with the "brain zaps" you experience. I don't know what doctors you are seeing, but it should be a psychiatrist or a psychotherapist followed up by a therapist for quite awhile. You may need to be inpatient in order to get the help you need. I know a psychatric ward is scary, but you may need this to get the help you need. Your disorders can be controlled with the right meds and therapy. I have anxiety-depressive disorder and have been hospitalized, plus I majored in psychology in college and taught children with all types of problems like yours and even psychosis. It takes a trained person to recognize these symptoms and learn how to treat them. I have a sister and brother that are bipolar and cousins, grandparents and my parents had depression , anxiety and OCD. I could go on and on about different relatives and there is a predisposition in families to these disorders. Find another doctor and let it be a psychatrist. You will get more help if you go inpatient and the doctor can monitor you more closely, change your meds if necessary, give you meds and the therapist will work with you to learn how to cope with these disorders and life in general. OCD can rule your life too if it's extreme. While I research on the computer it is meant to be a guidline and I wouldn't diagnose myself using any of the sites. You need to seek professional help. PLEASE do it for yourself and what are your parents doing to help? This is a family matter too. I am hoping for the best for you and I don't know you, but I feel your pain.

Have you suffered a head injury?
Sounds like Lyme disease,and narcolepsy,
or Lupus. Check out WebMD.
Do you drink a lot? A beer or two a week won't cause memory loss, and all the other symptoms, but drinking in abundance on a regular basis will.
