What do you do to cheer yourself up when life throws you those curveballs?!

Question: You know the ones that hit you right upside your head.

Answers: You know the ones that hit you right upside your head.

We always have to remember that while sometimes life will throw these curveballs by no means that you are down & out. The thing to do is not let these things get the best of us & not destroy us mentally. We have to get up accept what happened & plan the next move. For the time being u can put music u like play games that u like to distract yourself. Yu can even watch a tv show that u like. Have faith & just think to yourself that better things are heading your way soon.

Iced tea

I go shopping!

this is real nerdy but...kikin *** on xbox live

LISTEN TO THE JONAS BROTHERS!!!

They make my life better.

=]

Drink, you usually feel better, at least for a while.

sometimes.. i listen to music and jog on my treadmill.. and most of the time i just talk to my friends.. they always make me laugh.
=)

swing for the bleachers,of course...

Of course laughing is the only medicine for me, as it still hurts like heck, but hey, here I am.

i go get a mani pedi. then i get one of those at home facials. it is so refreshing. then go on a mini shopping spree. works all the time.

Play wii until my mind goes numb:)

I tell myself: "What doesn't kill me only makes me stronger."
Good question by the way.

nothing I just shove it deep down and just let it come out later or develop in to a mental illness

talk to friends and family

Give the pitcher the finger and get ready for the next pitch.

make the most of it and just do things I love to do to help the cheer part.

get stoned out of my gourd and play frizbee golf.

When life gives me lemons... I simply make Long Island Ice Tea!

Take a bath listening to old 80's music. while I cry. It always makes me feel better.

I like to run or go for a swim.
Aerobic exercise like running and swimming release endorphins and such and naturally make you feel better.

just soldier on !!!
Start a new project, or hobby - sink yourself into something new.

I always think of the people worse off then me especially sick kids living in hospital - and that snaps me out of my depression.

Read in my tub. Bubbles, Candle light, Nora Jones, wine. Keep adding hot water until you are better.

Guinness beer and/or naps, sometimes movies and video games and music.

Mostly though, I did not expect to be alive and reasonably sane at this point. After dealing with psych hospitals and losing my mind, small things like broken hearts or broken legs barely upset me anymore.

I usually try to go for a run and listen to some upbeat music. I also talk with my friends since they make me see how good life is...even if at times it feels really sh***y.

^_^

ummmm, think of all the possitive stuff in my life. do stuff i enjoy. keep my friends and family close. deal with the problem logically. look after yourself, get lots of sleep, exercise and a healthy diet. let someone know, someone comforting. goodluck, keep well and am sorry to hear your not great!

Laugh

TRUST ME -- we've lost our home, I've had a few lay offs, my oldest son is a drug addict and disappeared a couple years ago and my only other son is going to Iraq.......THIS IS ONLY PART of my life -- you'd be surprised.
Here is what I do..........REMEMBER, there ARE always things to be thankful for.
There is ALWAYS someone worse off than myself.
Something a friend said to me once was "the ball bounces down and it generally bounces back up again and we need to learn to bounce with the ball"
Remember, life is a journey......it has many many downs -- those downs are there to TEACH US to appreciate the GOOD things in life.

Let's look at what others have done... Some raid the fridge; some go shopping or spend money on line; some take to drugs or alcohol; and some just look at the glass as half full and not half empty. We all have had these and the older we get the more we have had! Of course, the other way is taking ones own life and that should not even be considered! One good way is take the advice of St. Paul, who said to look at the good things and the bad will take care of themselves. So, he said, do not think on them! Just do what you know you are suppose to do, and that is all you can do! Remember, it rains on all of us, but the sun will come out! So do not stay in when it does come out, thinking about the rain! God bless, Earl

I pick myself up and keep on keepin' on!! You just have to get past whatever has happened and know tommorro will be a better day. If you continue to stay in the same place you are you will get no where. Life is too short to let anything get you down !! Have confidence in another day !! Best of wishes
Been there done that !!
