I am depressed for no good reason and refuse to admit it?!


Question: i have a good life but still what should i do i have a great friend i really dont know. Please help

This is the very point about being depressed. You can be depressed whilst living in paradise. This is because most people associate depression with a "mental" disease that is caused by negative thoughts and negative experiences. In other words people assume that depression can be caused by thoughts over which we have no control and we fantasise that this is because it is hidden in a mythical "subconscious mind" or due to "bad parenting".

The reality is that depression is medical disease, in the literal sense of the word, caused by a underlying biochemical disorder. Since doctors are drug-oriented they believe that any medical disease MUST be treated by drugs.

Thus

DRUGS = TREATMENT

and

TREATMENT = DRUGS

But drugs only treat symptoms NOT causes.

Nutritional psychologists like myself offer an alternative explanation and treatment.

you should either go to a counselor or go to the dr. and see about getting on anti-depressants. you should never be ashamed of being depressed. the longer your go without the more you will wish you would have done something sooner. a person can have everything going for them and still feel depressed. it's a chemical imbalance, that can be fixed by medication.

Really? Cuz it sounds like you just did. So ... turn that frown upside down!

It happens to the best of us!

Our body is ruled by the moon, just like the ebb and flow of the sea. When there is an 'ebb' , our emotions are depleted. That is because our body is mostly fluid, and the moon controls fluid (water).

When there is a full moon, we tend to have more energy and feel on top of the world.

When there is no moon, everything seems dark, and some of us tend to feel depressed.

Let it pass .... go with the flow .... just relax and don't do anything that requires your full attention.

Tomorrow will be another day and you will be feeling much better :)
