Dizzyness & St. Johns Wort?!

Question: I've been taking St.Johns Wort to help with my depression, but over the past few days i have noticed that my pupils have become quite large and i feel slightly dizzy, ive also had great difficulty sleeping and eating. I don't feeling tired- quite the opposite. Ive heard that this can be normal when you start to take the pills but ive also heard that it shouldn't happen? ...I don't know what else to do as i'm allergic to most of the anti-depressants available on perscription and my doctor is useless and unsympathetic. Is there anything specific in the way of side effects i should be looking out for? and can i just come off the tablets or do i have to ween my self off of them gradually? thanks

Oh and i'm not on any other medication at all at the moment.

1st, make sure that you do NOT take St John's Wort alongside antidepressant, as this is DANGEROUS.
Sadly, even something natural like St John's Wort can have side efffects, particularly if you are allergic to lots of things.
Talking therapy may be the best for you, and if you're not happy with your GP, see a different one. It's your rights.

i suggest you see you dr and tell them whats going on and they will find you something for the depression and tell you the healthyist was to come off st johns
