Anxiety/ ocd solution??!


Question: what do you know about the bilateral cingulotomy brain surgery for obsessive thoughts and anxiety?...ive tried every kind of medicine and therapy imaginable...nothing helped. i talked to my one psychiatrist about it and she says she doesnt think i shud even consider it....its for severe cases...but just because i dont just stay in bead and ***** about it dont mean its not severe...i really cant live like i can...and i ill do anyhting to get this even if it takes holdn a gun to my head.

Of course, surgery is to be considered as a last option, after you've exhausted therapy and medication. If your doctor thinks it's not a good idea, have you considered why they feel so strongly? If you do decide to go ahead ad do it though, here is some more information on the procedure and how it is performed.

Before you go that far, work with your dr, and find the correct combination of meds that will control your symptoms. If your dr is not having any luck find another dr.
Somewhere out there, is a combination of one, two, or more drugs that will work for you. I am currently on 4 different meds, that it took us 3 yrs to come up with the correct drugs, and dosages.
