Tell me this,?!

Question: I wanted to know if anyone else had a problem with having to ask what someone said even though you heard them? Has anyone else had a sort of obsession with having to know exactly what someone said, so much to the point that it gave you a headache and depressed you if you didn't know word for word!

I hate it, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how they stopped.

Not an uncommon problem...Analyze why you want to know what exactly is being said....are you feeling insecure? do you not trust people? most importantly do you not trust yourself? Once you realize that it is not important for you to know what was said exactly...you will stop being obsessive about it...Remember communication is to convey the message across not to have the entire thing verbatim....Like getting rid of all bad habits...you first need to admit that you the problem (which you have done).....analyze why do you do it....seek the answer and forcefully try to avoid it at all times till the time it becomes a positive habit and second nature....resolve not to ask anybody what was being said and stick to it....start now...good luck...
