Question: Does anyone know if their is a picture of his mother around? What happend to her? Did she ever go to jail? I just finished the first book and will have to wait a few pay days before I can buy the other too.

Catherine (Roerva) Pelzer (April 17, 1929 - January 6, 1992)
I don't think she ever got charged or did any jail time because he talks about his siblings that had to stay with her when he was put in foster care. He did say that he made peace with her before she died. The only picture that I know of that has ever been published of her is on an interview he had with Larry King, here is the link to the video interview and the picture is shown there.

No there isn't a picture of her what an eveil cow she was. I think she dies in the second one i have read it but i can't remamber. No she doesn't go to jail.
those books are so sad. his mother looks as evil as the stories he tells about her sound. no she never went to jail, but, she did finally die! make sure you read the one his brother wrote. i'm sorry, i can't remember his name or the title @ the moment. but, there is definately a picture of his mother, i've seen it, and i believe it's in the book David's bother wrote.
She wasn't ever prosecuted. Pelzer is an apologist for his mother, saying that he doesn't blame her in any way for her treatment of him and that he's glad she wasn't imprisoned, believing the abuse to have been aggravated by her mental health problems and alcoholism.
