Answers: what are some good alternatives to cutting?please im desperate...

Actually keeping yourself busy and talking to others probably won't help. Once your done with your busy work you'll still think about the problems and issues in your life. Talking to others, well, not everyone takes cutting seriously, and even though you may speak to someone and try to find reason to quit, it probably won't be a good enough reasoning. The only way to really quit doing something harmful to yourself, is to want to. You simply need to find an alternative to take out your emotions on. Writing, painting, music. They help, but not enough to keep your mind focused on them when you try to go to sleep. I suggest you distance yourself away from negative people and subjects, and that you compliment yourself even if other people really bring you down.

Oh dear, Sweetie. When you feel that compulsion to cut, you need to get out of your room and talk to one of your parents if you can. Or call up a friend. Do you have a support group? You need a recovery group. Try to do something else with your hands. Type on the computer. Write poetry about how you are feeling. Start a journal. Go make some cookies. Learn how to do embroidery. It's easy and pretty. Start a scrapbook or photo album. Please, sweetie, just keep your hands busy and your mind occupied and get help when you need it. I wish you all the very best. God Bless YOU!
